Quality Drama productions in the Adelaide Hills.
The Stirling Players had their humble beginnings in the early part of 1972 when a mere 25 people voted for the formation of the Hills Drama Group. Soon after that inaugural meeting, the group's first public appearance was the melodramatic one act play Temptation Sordid and Virtue Rewarded. Subsequent increasing interest prompted a name change to the current Stirling Players. In 1976 the Stirling Players were the initiators of the Hills Festival of One Act Plays, the first of which was held in the Stirling Community Theatre. Since those early days of one act plays, hundreds of people of all ages have appeared on stage and behind the scenes in more than a hundred productions.
We have established a reputation for staging challenging plays, new plays fresh from success in London and New York, and contemporary Australian drama.Visit Website
